Klein-Rogge in the role of Etzel, King of the Huns
Contrary to what you might read in some reviews of this film, he does NOT play a villain. In fact, he does not actually hurt anyone through the whole story, and he treats his guests well, even when Kriemhild demands that he kill them. Though, in spite of his good intentions, he loses his only son to the cold-blooded Hagen Tronje, and from this point on we see a whole different kind of Etzel!
