Die Welt ohne Maske (1934)
"Pardon me?"
Klein-Rogge in the role of Agent Merker

I've finally seen this film and Rudolf is hilarious in it!  He plays an agent out to steal the idea from two crack scientists for a machine that can see through walls.  He's bumbling as well as slow-witted, and is easily distracted by....naughty goings-on.  Rudolf almost seems to be playing a parody of his old silent film villain personas here, but never once getting really serious in a scene, leaning more towards pomposity than menace.  Apart from being kicked in the rear end, conked on the head, getting a door slammed into his face, and otherwise made a fool of, Rudy seems to me to have had a fun time in this sci-fi farce.
