Die Göttliche Jette (1937)
Klein-Rogge in the role of Counsellor Müller

This may not be a significant role, but there is a certain charm to it.  As the very understanding, and slightly lecherous, Counsellor Müller, Rudy shows us a rarely seen comic side of his nature.  His character seems surrounded by women, though most of them fairly old.  They all watch him like hawks when he's around the flaunty dancer Jette, whose high-legged stageshows prompt him to frequently make use of his binoculars(!)  This same group of hens also constantly attack him verbally whenever Jette is not in the room, to which he calmly and mannerly defends himself, as much as he knows he is not going to win the argument.  After all, he's a respected citizen and has to uphold his public image...no matter what kind of distractions there are...
